Analyst of the Year Award

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for Analyst of the Year. Nominees were reviewed and interviewed by the judges. All nominees underwent a personal interview conference call scheduled by the Awards Committee. It was a VERY close race, but ultimately the Analyst of the Year was awarded to Juan Leyva, Taco Bell Corporation!

Juan Leyva - Taco Bell Corporation!

Juan Leyva is customer focused from the start of his shift to the finish each day. He is the hardware specialist on the TACO Help Desk and his focus and dedication is to keep downtime for our customers to a minimum and ensure hardware issues are resolved quickly.

The TACO Help Desk hardware team is responsible for supporting our back of house system and all the hardware associated with it. This includes the computer, credit cards terminals, VSAT equipment.  Order Confirmation Boards, and speed of service timers that all have an interface with the back of house computer. Taco Bell restaurant managers rely on the data from the back of house to run their business.

Many of times Juan has had to interact with an upset manager that is frustrated with failed hardware in their store. Juan bends over backwards doing anything possible to resolve the issue ASAP. He has worked to speed up the delivery process of parts as well as visiting the store personally to assist in resolving the issue.

Frank Alcantar, Taco Bell Corporation
 

Frank Alcantar is an individual on the Taco Bell help desk that truly stands out.  He is what they call a “Customer Maniac.” With every call that Frank takes he makes sure the caller is his top priority. Frank’s wide knowledge of our operations has allowed him to hold several positions on the Restaurant Help Desk over the past few years.

Frank has been responsible for first level support for most of his time but then has taken on more responsibility to become a backup support person for our franchisees to his latest role of Initialization of our Back of House system.  The Initialization position requires him to monitor installations of the computer systems at new stores or stores where their computer system has crashed and help the manager input start up data for them to be able to use the computer system. Performing initializations is not the easiest job as it takes much patience and hand holding through the process. Many times the caller is not familiar with all aspects or they are not very computer savvy; this is where excellent customer service skills come to play.
